Description:
The indoor color guard was created as a way to keep members of the Marching Band's visual unit (color guard) involved and in shape during the winter season. It is an opportunity to improve basic skills and learn new ones. This year the instructional staff is focusing on teaching the basic skills needed on rifles and sabres. Quakertown's show combines dance, marching forms, and equipment work set to the music of Joch Crobin's "You Raise Me Up"., an inspirational ballad of faith and hope. Currently the color guard is ranked 3rd out of a field of 43 competitive units. The guard practices Monday and Thursday nights from 6 - 9 pm in the Quakertown Elementary cafeteria and competes almost every weekend in March and April. We hope to be able to perform at the TIA All Chapter Championship held April 29 - May 2 in the Wildwood Convention Center.
