| QCSD Students Continue to Perform Well In presenting our student achievement data, we have placed a special emphasis on growth and looking at these data in context. In other words, how do our student results compare to our neighboring schools, schools in the county or state, or with schools of similar demographics? We are happy to share our "Points of Pride" and action plans. Even with severe budget difficulties, we continue to place improvement of student achievement as our highest priority. Our schools rank with the highest in the county and the state. In the past five years we have the highest SATs, ACTs, and PSSAs, ever! Drop outs have been reduced by 10%. Our programs are being recognized regionally, statewide, nationally, and internationally, including nominations for Blue Ribbon School status and a National Title I Distinguished School. We have been asked to present about our success so many times that we now offer professional development and have engaged in providing education services for other districts, both for a fee, bringing revenue into the district. What is most encouraging is that adversity does not stop our forward momentum. I thank the QCSD board, all QSCD teachers, administrators, staff, and students for their relentless efforts that make QCSD a premier school district in Pennsylvania and the country.
