The Quakertown Community School District's Board of Directors has established a Wellness Policy to ensure the health and well-being of all students. The policy is available here
The Board has also established Administrative Regulations (ARs), which are guidelines to help the administration and staff to implement the policies. The Wellness AR is avialable here.
In accordance with the QCSD Wellness Policy, and in support of students with food allergies and other significant health conditions, our school agrees to:
- School celebratory treats will be in compliance with the Wellness Policy.
- Teachers will work with room parents to ensure food items provided at classroom parties are in compliance with the Wellness Policy.
- No food items will be distributed to students by parents except those arranged by the classroom teacher for classroom celebrations.
- We encourage parents to pack healthy snacks and lunches for their children, but acknowledge parents make their own choices for their children.
