Like all schools in the Commonwealth, Strayer Middle School participates in the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA). Students in all grader levels partake in the Reading and Mathematics sections of PSSA. In addition, eighth graders participate in the Writing and Science sections.
In addition to the PSSA, all Strayer students are assessed three times a year using the district-wide benchmark assessment. These assessments provide focused insight into what the students know and are able to do in specific content areas. Our teachers then use this information to best support the students at his/her specific level as progress is made toward the final goal.
