Some students, however, face challenges that stand in the way of academic success and personal well being. In addition to guidance counselors and reading specialists, the district has additional programs in place to assist students and their parents in meeting these challenges:
-
Instructional Support Teams (IST) at the elementary level and academic teams in the middle schools
- Student Assistance Programs (SAP) in the three secondary schools
- Social worker and school psychologist support
- 13 Reasons Why Talking Points
- Agency Partnerships
The district values the participation of parents as partners in assisting at-risk students to become achievers and problem solvers.
