Artists

Please support your fellow artist classmates and stop by Quakertown Yogurt Tree! On display are some Animal Drawings and Community Pieces created by SGC students. The art show will be up during the month of January.

Homework Club

If you would like to stay for homework club on Tuesday, January 15, please sign up in the main office by 2:45 on Tuesday.

Dodgeball tournament

Today is the first day to sign-up your team for the Dodgeball Tournament that will take place this Friday night.  Sign-ups will be available during lunch today through Wednesday.  You need a team name and the names of each player.  Teams can have a max of six players but may have less.  Join the fun and sign-up today.

Student Council

Student Council Executives and homeroom reps should attend a meeting during Resource on Wednesday, January 16 in room 128. Please note this is not an after school meeting, but it will meet during Resource. Please contact Mrs. DiGiacomo if you cannot make it.

Reading Olympics

Students who signed up for Reading Olympics, our first meeting is today from 3:15-4:15 in the library

There will be a Naturalist Club meeting today from 3:00-4:30 in Mrs. Maccarone’s room.

Dodgeball tournament

If you missed out yesterday, sign-up today during lunch for the Dodgeball Tournament.  This is a great opportunity to have fun playing with your friends, and the winning teams will have a chance to play the teachers.  If you don't want to play, you can still attend to cheer on your classmates.  Don't miss the fun.

We are looking for The Sixth Grade Center's brightest stars for our upcoming Talent Show.  The Talent Show will be held the first week in March but tryouts begin in just a few weeks.  Please pick up an application and all information on the Student Council wall outside Mrs. Wert's room in the library hallway. 

Dodgeball tournament

Today is the last day to sign-up for the Dodgeball tournament.  If you have been waiting to get your team together, now is your last chance.  Remember, the max number of players is six, but you can play with less.  Everyone is invited to attend the tournament on Friday from 6:30 - 8:00.  Admission is only $5 for students.  A snack stand will be open.  Let's pack the gym with players, fans and families.

District Calendar Change

The Board made a change to the school calendar at their last meeting.  The May calendar reflects that school is closed on May 14; however, Primary Election Day is May 21, which will now be a non-instructional day for students.  Tuesday, May 14th will be a regular school day.

Please return permission slips for the trip to Strayer to watch Mary Poppins to your homeroom teacher by Tuesday, January 22.

Today is Dodgeball day.  All players should report to the cafe during Resource, after checking in with your teacher, to hear the rules and schedule.  Everyone is invited to attend tonight, families included.  Doors will open at 6:00 and the tournament will begin at 6:30.  The tournament will end at 8:00, be sure to have a ride.  Admission is $5 per student, donations for families.  A snack will be available for purchase.  Don't miss out on the fun.  See you tonight.

School Closing – Breakfast

If there is a two-hour delay, please remember that breakfast will not be served in the morning.

Due to the Mary Poppins Jr Field trip, we will be having the following menu change for Tuesday and Wednesday:

Tues 22nd - Philly Cheese Steak, Potato Wedges, Steamed Broccoli

Wed 23rd - Chicken Tenders, Tater Tots, Peas & Carrots, Dinner Roll
