2025-2026 School Year News

May 15, 2025

Dear Quakertown Community School District Families:

Only a few weeks remain till the 2024–2025 school year ends. It's a great time to plan for the summer, host gatherings, and get your graduate or rising Panther ready for what lies ahead. Additionally, our district team has been making plans. For the 2025–2026 school year, we are collaborating with our amazing staff to realign our academic leaders in ways that will benefit our district and school communities.

Starting July 1, 2025, Dr. Jennifer Bubser will take over as principal of Quakertown Elementary School on July 1, 2025. For seven of her 27 years with the QCSD, Dr. Bubser served as the principal of Strayer Middle School. As a gifted educator, she has taught at Neidig Elementary, coached track and field at Milford and the High School, and she, her spouse, and their two kids were all Panthers. She is the ideal candidate to lead our Quakertown Elementary students, faculty, and families into the future.  Additionally, Ms. Krista McGowan will move to Quakertown Elementary to serve as Dr. Bubser's Secretary. Before being promoted to Quakertown Community High School, where she worked as the Administrative Assistant for the 10th Grade House, Ms. McGowan began her career with the district in 2023 as an Attendance Secretary at Strayer Middle School.

In addition, Ms. MacKenzie Baver, currently the Secretary at Quakertown Elementary, will be transitioning to the Assistant Principal Secretary at the High School, replacing Ms. McGowan. Not only was Ms. Baver a K-12 QCSD student, but she also worked for the district for 15 years (12 years as an instructional assistant, and the last 3 years as Secretary at Quakertown Elementary).

Effective July 1, 2025, Mr. Adam Dinney, currently an Assistant Principal at the Quakertown Community High School, will become the House Principal of the Sixth Grade Center. Mr. Dinney has worked at the High School for the last 6 years, and 12 years prior at the Allentown School District. Mr. Dinney received his Master's in Education Leadership from Lehigh University, and is about to receive his Educational Doctorate at Immaculata University. He’s deeply excited to lead the Sixth Grade Center, and we are thrilled to have him in this role. In addition, Ms. Helen Conroy, current Assistant Principal for the Academy/Aspire Programs, will move into the role of High School Assistant Principal, replacing Mr. Dinney.

The 2025–2026 academic year will also see the appointment of a new head for the Academy/Aspire Programs and QCSD Cyber Programs. The Academy/Aspire Programs and Cyber Programs Assistant Principal will be Mr. Juan Soto, who is currently the Dean of Students at Quakertown Community High School. Ten of Mr. Soto's eighteen years of teaching experience were spent in the QCSD. To replace Mr. Soto, our team is currently creating a new role.

We want parents and caregivers to understand that these administrative decisions were carefully considered. Each leader is assigned to a position where their leadership, skills, and abilities will support the growth of that school community. We take great satisfaction in the fact that this group of educational leaders is motivated to keep going and is committed to making a difference for our staff and students in the 2025–2026 academic year.

As always, don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. Our goal is to establish an academic setting that fosters success for both our staff and students. That's what these adjustments will do.

Yours in Education-

Dr. Matthew Friedman
Superintendent of Schools
