Richland and Neidig Elementary Schools each celebrated Veterans Day with heartfelt tributes designed to honor the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our local heroes. Both school communities welcomed Veteran family members and friends for a day filled with gratitude, connection, and reflection.

At Richland, students proudly hosted the school’s third annual Veterans Day Assembly, featuring moving musical performances, student-led presentations, and thoughtful questions from young leaders eager to learn from the day’s honored guests. Students also collaborated to create a powerful photo collage recognizing the men and women who have bravely served our country.

Neidig Elementary’s celebration centered on meaningful student-Veteran interactions. Guests were welcomed with refreshments and invited to explore the school’s “Wall of Heroes,” a touching display of photos and stories submitted by families to honor the Veterans in their lives. Throughout the day, Veterans visited classrooms to share their military experiences, offering students valuable lessons in patriotism, leadership, perseverance, and service to others.

Across both schools, the presence of our Veterans made a lasting impact. Students expressed admiration and curiosity, while staff and families joined together in gratitude for the bravery and selfless commitment shown by those who protect and defend our freedoms.

Richland and Neidig extend heartfelt thanks to all Veterans who joined their celebrations. Your service inspires our students, strengthens our community, and reminds us of the true meaning of sacrifice. We are honored to recognize you today and every day.
