Congratulations Ms. Urquhart - QCHS's Superintendent Spotlight

Each month, the Quakertown Community School District will take time to celebrate one of its own — from each school - a teacher, staff member, or employee who goes above and beyond for our students and the QCSD community. Through the Superintendent’s Spotlight, the district aims to recognize those whose hard work, care, and commitment help make Quakertown a special place to learn and grow.

For December, Dr. Van ‘t Hoenderdaal and Dr. Friedman celebrated Ms. Urquhart!

Here is her nomination:

“She never fails to support any student with their dreams. Recently, I began planning to record a piece I wrote for a jazz band and needed guidance on recording techniques and feedback on the composition. She immediately connected me with an amazing audio engineer and asked if there was anything else she could do to help. This is just one of the hundreds of acts of kindness she performs each month—providing secondary instruments, arranging private lessons, and creating opportunities for students to have their voices heard in the band program by playing music they’ve written or chosen. I truly believe she is more than deserving of the Superintendent Spotlight Award.”

Congratulations Ms. Urquhart!
