Congratulations to QCSD’s Robbie DiStefano and Nick Burch on completing the Bucks County Intermediate Unit’s Leadership Development Fellowship Cohort 9. Interim Superintendent, Dr. Lisa Hoffman joined our "graduates" at a recognition ceremony on Friday, May 15th.

Developed in 2017, the Leadership Fellowship was created to provide Bucks County educators the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and help our school systems build leadership-ready personnel. Session topics have included building a positive school culture and community; mindful leadership and emotional intelligence; leveraging data and evidence in decision-making; and organizational and instructional leadership.

This cohort, which began in December 2025, included 37 participants from Bucks County schools, including Quakertown’s Robbie DiStefano and Nick Burch, nominated by Dr. Lisa Hoffman.

Reflecting on their experience in the program, both Burch and DiStefano shared their perspectives on the experience:

“The Leadership Cohort taught me about the various ways to recognize systems and stakeholders to make true organizational change. We were able to learn about every level of leadership and how to incorporate current research, best practices, and anecdotal information to create authentic experiences to share -- and shape -- our own vision for leadership opportunities,” said Burch.

"My experience as a participant in the Leadership Development Cohort has been very impactful.  Working alongside colleagues from across the county was inspirational as well and educational. I am grateful to Dr. Lisa Hoffman and Dr. Rachel Holler for this opportunity to reflect through a new leadership lens," said DiStefano.

Congratulations to Robbie and Nick on this tremendous achievement and commitment to growing as educational leaders!
