Hello QE Families!
What a special last week of the school year. As we wrapped up our final three days, the energy in our hallways was something we will all remember. It was a bittersweet goodbye as we closed the doors on this beloved building for the last time, but we are already looking forward to our bright future ahead—including our temporary stay at the Sixth Grade Center while we wait for our brand-new building!
We certainly made our final days count. Our 5th graders kicked things off on Monday with a day filled with fun, including a special 5th grade picnic. On Tuesday we celebrated "Unity in the Community" day, and enjoyed a walk to Memorial Park, lunch in the pavilion, and a well-deserved water ice treat on the way back. Our final day was a beautiful marathon of milestones, starting with our adorable Kindergarten moving-up ceremony and later with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade awards assembly. We capped off the entire year with the emotional 5th-grade promotion ceremony and their traditional celebration parade. Watching our oldest students march inside and outside the school, holding their posters high while being showered with cheers from students, staff, teachers, and families, was nothing short of magical. Wow—what a truly special way to say goodbye to an unforgettable year!
