Capital Projects Information
The Quakertown Community School District administration is developing plans to address crowding at its elementary schools, an aging and outdated Quakertown Elementary School, and a middle grade configuration that is not academically ideal.
The District has presented to the School Board and is continuing to discuss three potential options, each involving the construction of a new Quakertown Elementary School. Each of the options involves realigning grade levels across the elementary schools to balance enrollment.
The administration’s preferred option includes moving sixth grade into Strayer Middle School to create a 6 - 8 school. Bringing all three middle grades into one building would allow the District to provide more continuity and efficiency in its academic programs, and to create a more positive and supportive environment.
