Due to the cancellation of all QCSD evening activities tonight, the QCHS/BCCC Dual Enrollment Parent Video Information Night has also been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and flexibility.

This spring, our Design Thinking teachers are launching an exciting project: students will reimagine old toys by building entirely new ones from used parts. What better way to give old toys new life while encouraging creativity and innovation?

What is Design Thinking?
Design Thinking is a dynamic, hands-on learning approach that helps students become creative problem-solvers. It emphasizes empathy, real-world relevance, and iterative design — guiding students through a process of empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing. By working on open-ended, real-life challenges, students build confidence, learn to consider diverse perspectives, and develop critical thinking skills. Design Thinking is often paired with Computational Thinking pathways — preparing our kids for college, career, and life beyond school.

The Upper Bucks Transition Fair is scheduled for Thursday, March 12th at Pennridge High School from 5:30pm - 7pm.

In collaboration with Pennridge and Palisades School Districts, the QCSD proudly presents the Upper Bucks Transition Fair. This transition fair provides an opportunity for parents and students with disabilities to explore local community agencies that can support planning for life after high school graduation.

Learn how to register your child for Kindergarten, what to expect in the year ahead, and how QCSD supports our youngest learners.

Eligibility: Children must be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2026 to enroll for the 2026–2027 school year.
Important: Registration must be completed by May 31, 2026 to guarantee placement in your neighborhood school.

QCHS is inviting students and families to explore exciting academic opportunities at the Dual Enrollment, AP & Electives Fair on Wednesday, January 7, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Quakertown Community High School, 600 Park Avenue, Quakertown.

This informational event is designed to help students plan for their future by learning more about the wide range of courses available at the high school level. Families will have the opportunity to explore nearly 100 course options, including Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement (AP), and elective offerings that allow students to earn college credits, challenge themselves academically, and discover new interests.

Representatives from partner institutions—including the University of Pittsburgh, Harrisburg University, and Arizona State University—will be on hand to share information about dual enrollment pathways and how students can begin their college journey early, often at a fraction of the cost of traditional college tuition.

The fair is a valuable opportunity for students and families to ask questions, connect directly with educators and college partners, and gain a clearer understanding of how today’s course choices can shape future academic and career goals.

All students and families are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this chance to plan ahead, get informed, and get inspired.
