Art

QCSD Visual Art Department

We believe that art matters. It is what makes us human. Our K-12 program nurtures critical thinking, develops visual literacy, and inspires our students to develop their unique voices. The study of visual art deepens our connection to the world, embraces diverse world views, helps us be community-minded, and understand the social and natural world around us.

K-5 students have an art class every four days. 45-day art electives are offered in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. At the high school level, there are art electives in both physical and digital mediums as well as Advanced Placement (AP) offerings including AP Art History and AP Studio Art.
